Today it’s close to 80 outside and sunny. It finally feels like spring and after our April blizzard last weekend, I’ve been anxious to actually spend time in the sun. Yellow is a big color this year everywhere you look. From weddings to home décor, it is such a refreshing and bright color.

A contemporary and edgy palette would pair yellow with black and gray while a more subdued and traditional pallet would pair yellow with shades of white, ivory or green. Navy, orange, aqua and even brown all pair well with yellow.

There are many options for flowers in the yellow spectrum. The classic daisy is the first to come to mind, a yellow spray rose adds a delicate texture to a bouquet and a ranunculus and white anemone bouquet would be the perfect fit for a contemporary wedding. If you are getting married in March or April, you may even be lucky enough to use forsythia branches in your centerpieces.

Don’t you just love the Amsale dress? I would like to think that if I had the body of that model and an unlimited budget, I would have worn it at my wedding. Well maybe not, it wouldn’t have fit in with my theme at all but it is still fabulous!
