What do you do when your fiance is wearing his Dress Bues and they don’t go with your vision of purple and green, add more color!
I’m thinking peacocks here, lots of blues, deep magenta, purple and bright greens. Layers of color that mirror the different blues in the formal military uniform. The spectrum is endless and the best thing is, none of your wedding details need to match, the more color the better.
While blue flowers are hard to find beyond hydrangea and blue delphinium, there are many purple and magenta flowers that would pop against a deep eggplant dress. Purple lisianthus, magenta dahlias, deep plum callas, purple mokara orchids and green cymbidium orchids would make a beautiful bouquet. Layers of purple and blue linens on tables with bright green napkin rings (below) would make a bold statement in any venue especially a modern space with little decor.
Check back tomorrow for another way to work with navy: a Moroccan theme with lots of jewel tones.
