Tatoos, mohawks, feathers! I met Jaime and David on a cold evening in November. I was inspired by their ideas to have a fall wedding but not the fall wedding you’re thinking of. They wanted orange and purple and different! Hair pieces, feathers, you name it, they were game.
They were married last September on a beautiful fall day, it really couldn’t have been a more beautiful or perfect day. I hadn’t heard of Epiphany Lutheran before, it’s an adorable little church just a block west of Wash Park. Beautiful grounds and a beautiful little chapel.
When I arrived I met Jaime’s bridal party and they were having a blast downstairs. Jaime had me call Chi Chi, her stylist, to consult on the hairpieces and when I met him he was rocking the purple mohawk, the perfect shade to match the dresses and groomsmen shirts. This bridal party had some style!
Jaime’s bouquet was filled with fun seasonal blooms including dahlias, scabiosa pods, kangaroo paws, billy balls, protea and cockscomb. I had a blast designing all of them. Her hair pieces had all of the same elements with the addition of purple feathers.
Jaime and David, congratulations, I truly enjoyed getting to know both you and I wish you the best!
